The ShineOn API.
The ShineOn API key is used for a few different things.
If you're looking to connect a third party application to your ShineOn account - such as Customily or AnywherePOD - they may ask you for your ShineOn API key.
In these cases, simply providing the API key where it needs to go will be all you need to do.
However, If you're a big store or POD service with a good handle on programming and development, then selling using our API to give us orders might be a good option for you.
Before making a large tech investment, you may want to consider trying out CSV Ordering first. The sign up process for both API and CSV is mostly the same, so why not give it a go?
Selling via the API is only useful for businesses used to programming their own store and who have programmers or developers that can implement it.
Register an account, and create the Special Orders sales channel.
Access to the API key is done through access to the Special Orders Sales Channel. To enable the special orders sales channel and get access to the API key, follow the below:

Log in to your ShineOn dashboard, or if you're new, create an account via app.shineon.com

From your dashboard, click the dropdown at the top and go to connect new store

Click the link to open up a partner account.

Ensure the partner sales channel is selected within the dropdown at the top.

Click API configuration on the left menu.

Click Request Access

An API Key will be generated for you to use.
