Using International (Non-USD) Currencies

Going global! 

While ShineOn HQ is based in the USA, we produce and ship products worldwide to most countries.

All of our base costs are charged in USD, regardless of your location or set currency on Shopify/Etsy. 

However, to make things more simple for sellers, we display an estimated conversion on product prices within the account. So you can easily understand the prices of your products.

It's also possible to change the displayed currency in other areas of the ShineOn account, such as analytics.

Here's some important information on how that works.

Setting your preferred product editor/publisher currency.

When you connect a sales channel to your ShineOn account (Shopify) the ShineOn Account will detect the currency your store is in, and will update the currency displayed within the product and variant editor and publisher to the currency you use.

It is mandatory to set your Shopify store to the currency you wish to use before connecting your store to your ShineOn account. Once connected, this cannot be changed and will be tied to your ShineOn Account details. 

Changing your store currency after connecting will have no effect on the currency displayed within your ShineOn account.

You can now set the prices for your products within your ShineOn account, and this will sync to your store in the correct currency.

Setting displayed currencies across other areas of the ShineOn Account.

It's possible to change the currency displayed across all other areas of the ShineOn account, including:

• The Dashboard
• Analytics
• Top Sellers
• Catalog
• Pricing / Availability 
• Invoices (excluding PDF downloads, which are always in USD)
• All Orders

If you would like to change the currency displayed in these areas, you can do so from Store Settings. 

Note that changing this setting does not affect the settings on your Store, or within the product editor and publisher.

This will update displayed prices across the app using estimated conversions. This may fluctuate slightly due to the nature of currency conversion.
