Selling online through Shopify requires the use of a shipping profile. When you install the ShineOn app through Shopify, a ShineOn shipping profile is created automatically.
Table of contents:
For New Shopify Merchants
When you first install the ShineOn app, an automated shipping profile will be created, which can be seen by going to Settings > Shipping and Delivery > App shipping profiles
- Select the dropdown menu icon to show how many products use this profile, the profile's fulfillment location, and shipping zones.
- Select the > icon to manage or edit the shipping profile.
- To edit a shipping rate, select the corresponding 3 dots and choose Edit rate. However, this is optional.
Warning: Giving your shipping rate a custom rate name using any of the following words will cause the order to be charged and shipped with priority shipping.
The following words are:
express, priority, overnight, next_day, next day, air, 2day, 2-day, 1day,
1-day, same day, sameday, expedited, rush, urgentOrders that use a shipping rate containing these words are not eligible for a refund. You can turn this off in the app under Settings > Store settings > Default Expedited Words
Orders using key words that aren't eligible for priority shipping will be shipped using standard shipping. Likewise if an order is made where the only available carrier is FedEx, the keywords will be ignored and that order will ship using FedEx.
Orders that use keywords for an unavailable method are called mismatched orders. If you would like mismatched orders to automatically go on hold, you can enable that under Settings > Store Settings > Require Service Level Match
Every ShineOn product you create will automatically use the ShineOn shipping profile. If a product is made through SPP (ShineOn Production Partner), then it will use your General shipping profile.
- When you create your first SPP product, it will add ShineOn as a fulfillment location.
You're free to edit each shipping rate to your liking; additionally, the shipping price for our SPP products is available here.
For Existing Shopify Merchants
When you log in to the app, you should see a prompt asking you to grant permission.
- After selecting Grant permission, you'll be redirected to Shopify admin, where you should see the following page:
- Select Update to continue. You should see a new shipping profile in your Settings > Shipping and delivery. This process can take up to ten minutes to complete.
When you see the ShineOn shipping profile, every ShineOn product you had created before will automatically switch to this profile.
Although for stores with 100+ products, you may see them added gradually over time; for example, it may say 100 products, then 150, then 200, etc. This is normal and will eventually add all ShineOn products.
Any SPP (ShineOn Product Partner) products created will remain in your General shipping profile.
- Optionally, you're free to edit or delete any shipping rate by selecting the profile you wish to edit.
- Then select the corresponding 3 dots to edit the rate or to delete it.
