Let's get the App set up on Shopify!

Installation.

You can install the app from this link.

Link your account.

When using the ShineOn app for the first time, you'll be prompted to create a password for your account, and you'll be asked to review our terms of service.

Check out the dashboard.

Once the app is installed, You can get to it at any time, by going to your Shopify and click "Apps" and then click our app.

You will then go to main app dashboard where you can create products, check on orders, and all sorts of useful stuff. 

For a complete overview of your account you can check out this guide, But first, we need to set up your payment method and install the product page.

 

Setting up a payment method

We need a payment method added so that we can bill you for the base cost of new orders. You can add a Credit Card or link your PayPal account to your ShineOn account to do this.

• Click the three dots in the bottom left.

• Click settings

• Then scroll down to the Payment section.

• Click your preferred payment method.

• fill out your details.

• Enable Automatic Processing.

It's highly recommended to enable auto-processing. It's controlled via the tickbox below your list of payment methods. 

The final thing we need to do is ensure the product page is installed.

 

Check the ShineOn Product Page.

We provide sellers with the ShineOn product page, which is installed to your current Shopify theme when you install the app.

The page is critical, and is required for certain features to work such as personalized engraving, photo upload, and birthstone selection for relevant products.

We need to make sure installed and up to date:

• From the top of the settings page (which you accessed before when updating your payment settings) click the Page Settings tab.

• If the page is not installed or updated, you can do so on this page, otherwise you should see the tick. Your page will match one of the images below. 

This product page is only used on ShineOn products, and does not affect any other products or pages on your store.

The ShineOn product page is required in order to sell ShineOn products. For more information about what it does, and why we use it. Click here.

 

Optional - Configure the ShineOn Product Page.

Once installed, you can check out the options available to configure the product page to your liking. Do to this:

• Go to Shopify Admin
• Click Online Store
• Click Theme

• Click Customize

• Select Product pages from the top drop-down

• There are two ShineOn product pages available to you. (Ignore E-and-G-Upsell as it is not longer used). Each product page is used for different product types, if you're selling multiple ShineOn product types, it's likely you will use both at some stage. You can find out more about the Pages here.

• After choosing the ShineOn product page you would like to edit, access the ShineOn Product Page settings on the left to customize the product page.

 

Create new products!

Now you're ready to start creating products. Use the New Product button in the top right corner of the app dashboard to access the catalog.
