If you would like to charge product-specific shipping, you can quickly and easily set this up for each product in Shopify using Shipping Profiles.
This is useful for some ShineOn products, which have varying shipping costs depending on the item.
If you prefer to keep it simple and offer free shipping or a flat shipping rate, you can follow this guide.
To set up per-product shipping charges:
- From your Shopify Dashboard, Go to Settings > Shipping and Delivery
- Click Create Custom profile
- Give the shipping profile a name and click Add Products
- Search for and select the product or product variant you would like to add. Then click done.
- Since some ShineOn Products ship to the USA only, if you're setting up your profile for those, you will need to add the USA to your profile. Click Add Shipping Zone.
- Add the USA and name the zone.
- Click Add rate
- Click Use flat rate. Name your Rate, and then type in the price and click done. If you're setting up rates for ShineOn products with variable shipping rates, you can locate these in the catalog.
- Finally, click Done.
Warning: Giving your shipping rate a custom rate name using any of the following words will cause the order to be charged and shipped with priority shipping.
The following words are:
express, priority, overnight, next_day, next day, air, 2day, 2-day, 1day,
1-day, same day, sameday, expedited, rush, urgentOrders that use a shipping rate containing these words are not eligible for a refund. You can turn this off in the app under Settings > Store settings > Default Expedited Words
Orders using key words that aren't eligible for priority shipping will be shipped using standard shipping. Likewise if an order is made where the only available carrier is FedEx, the keywords will be ignored and that order will ship using FedEx.
Orders that use keywords for an unavailable method are called mismatched orders. If you would like mismatched orders to automatically go on hold, you can enable that under Settings > Store Settings > Require Service Level Match
... And you're done! You can repeat these steps for each of the products or variants you want to set up specific shipping rates for.
