To make this feature work you need to finish these steps:
- Create a development App in you Shopify store
- Configure it with ability to
write
andread
theme files - Get generated Private Token
- Add the Private Token to the ShineOn App
1. Creating a development App in your Shopify store
In your Shopify store's admin, go to the App and Sales channel settings:
There, you will be able to create a development App
If it's your first app in the store few additional steps might appear
After this, you will see a button to Create an App
Give it any name you want. I've named it ShineOn Legacy and then click Create app
2. Configure it with ability to write
and read
theme files
Click Configure Admin API scopes
Then by using Search/Filtering field type themes and select write_themes
and read_themes
And click Install app at the top right
Confirm your installation by clicking the Install button in the pop-up
3. Get generated Private Token
After installation you will see the field with your Private Token key. Reveal it by clicking link on the left.
This key will be visible until tab is not closed. Copy generated key
Add the Private Key to ShineOn App
First, go to Settings -> Store Settings and scroll to the bottom. You will see Legacy Support section.
Paste generated Private Token to the input field and click Save button
After everything goes well, you will see the notification about adding was successful
Adding Private Token to the ShineOn App allows you to have latest version of the ShineOn Default and ShineOn Fast product pages.
