As part of your benefits of subscribing to ShineOn starter or higher, you'll get access to our post-purchase upsell funnel which you can enable on your Shopify store products.
Upsells are currently a feature reserved for the ShineOn Starter Subscription or higher, however products published prior to this change on 11th October 2023 will have the upsell feature enabled.
If the feature is enabled on a product, when the customer completes checkout with that product in their basket, they'll get a post-purchase upsell offer like the one shown.
The Post-purchase funnel is enabled on a per-product basis, so you can customize the upsells shown to be relevant for that product. For example you could offer the earrings upsell when customers purchase a necklace.
Let's take a look at how to set this up.
Setting up the post-purchase upsell.
To start, we need to enable the feature on the products you would like to use it with. To enable the feature on a product:
- Click on Products, and choose a product.
- Click the upsells tab at the top of the product edit page.
- Click manage on post-purchase upsells
- Click Create

Choose a product you would like to upsell.
Its possible to choose any product you sell as an additional upsell, it's not just limited to our own upsell options!
- Once you have selected the product it will appear in the Upsell Flow as the first upsell offer. You can continue to add two more upsell options to the flow, offering certain items depending on if the customer accepts or declines the first upsell option.
- If you click on the menu dots next to the on/off toggle, you can configure additional options for the upsell including a percentage discount.
And you're done.
Now post-purchase upsells are all set up, customers will be presented with the upsell options on checkout.
