Add product reviews using Loox.
In order to provide instant social proof to your products, ShineOn has teamed up with Loox to bring you Insta Reviews.
Insta Reviews enable you to go into each product individually and pick and choose what reviews you want to display on your products from a collected database of reviews, which will immediately display underneath your product.Let's learn how to do this!
Grab the Loox app.
First you'll need to install the Loox app to your Shopify store. To do that, click here.
Once Loox is installed on your shopify store, You should take a few moments to follow the set up process. Loox will run you through various questions to help you get set up.
There's quite a few options and features to explore with Loox, if you would like to know more about all of Loox's features, or for complete support and information on how to use Loox in general, you should visit their website.
Otherwise you can stick to the default settings during set up for now as you can explore and change these later.
Once you have completed the set up questions, you'll be taken to the Loox Dashboard.
Adding reviews to your products.
To add reviews to your products, head to the ShineOn dashboard, Click Products, and Find the product you want to import reviews to.
On the right side of the product editor, click "Import reviews"
Approving reviews.
You will be taken to a screen which will display the product you selected, and a review.
You may choose to accept or decline the review presented. Doing so will load another for you to review. Some even have photos so be sure to check out as many as you can!
You may notice when browsing reviews for a product that they don't always match the niche of your product. For example, you may have designed your message card to be for a daughter, whereas the reviews discuss gifting the necklace to a mother.
Loox reviews are applicable to product types only, at this time it isn't possible to filter down to specific Niches.
Where possible we would prefer to give sellers the choice of reviews that aren't 100% relevant to a specific niche, rather than present fewer review options. It is up to you if you would like to use them.
If you have multiple products of the same type on your store (for example two or more Forever Love necklaces), when importing reviews for the current product you may see reviews you rejected when importing reviews for the previous products. This gives you an opportunity to use previously rejected reviews - so you're able to find a review which matches your niche even if it was previously rejected.
