Your ShineOn Account offers simple and easy to use integration with Etsy. Allowing you to offer your products to the Etsy marketplace.
The integration will allow you to:
-
Create products with your ShineOn Account which are then automatically created on Etsy.
-
Sync new orders from Etsy to your ShineOn Account, ready for fulfillment.
-
Automatically pay for the base cost of those orders so they go out to your customers ASAP!
This guide assumes you have set up both a ShineOn Account and an Etsy store. To find out how to set up an Etsy Store, click here.

-
Log in to Etsy, and head to the Store Manager
-
Click Settings, and then Production Partners
-
Click Add New Production Partner
-
Fill out the details for us based on the screenshot provided:
If you prefer to uncheck "Show this production partner's name to buyers" that's fine, too! It will ask you for a short description of what we do instead.
Set up shipping
In order for the integration to work correctly, you need to set up a shipping profile.
-
Click Settings
-
Click Shipping Settings
-
Click Add Profile
-
Please make sure you have a shipping profile with fixed rates before trying to connect. Fixed rates is “I’ll manually set my own fixed rates”
-
Add 3 zones: US, European Union, Rest of the World, Optional fourth zone: UK
And then use:
- US: Carrier UPS Ground
- EU: Carrier Other, 3-7 business days
- UK: Carrier Other, 3-7 business days
- Rest of the world: Other, 5-20 business days.
- (Optional) Set all shipping rates to 0 to enable free delivery
Disable Gift Message options
At this time, ShineOn isn't able to fulfill gift messages or gift wrapping with Etsy orders. To make sure this doesn't cause confusion or problems with your future customers, for now it is best to disable the features on Etsy before you get any orders.
Do to this:
-
Click Settings, and then Options
-
Make sure both of these options are disabled.
Connect your Etsy store to your ShineOn Account
Next we need to connect your Etsy and ShineOn accounts.
-
Log In to your ShineOn Account
-
Click the drop down box at the top and click Connect new store
-
Click Connect under Etsy
-
You will be taken to Etsy to confirm the Integration, click Grant Access
Check it worked
-
Once the page refreshes, at the top of Store Settings you will see your store name, with a switch next to it.
-
Click the store drop-down at the top, and check your Etsy store is listed.
The integration will import all Etsy stores from your Etsy account. You can switch off integration with any of your Etsy stores by clicking the switch next to it under Profile Settings.
Your store's products can now be managed from your ShineOn Account. Remember that your other ShineOn sales channels and Etsy stores are managed separately. This means that they have separate products, and for a product to appear on both it will need to be created once for each sales channel.
To switch between managing each store, click the store drop-down at the top and choose which store you would like to manage. This will load the products connected to that channel.
Sales of ShineOn products created from your ShineOn Account and published to your Etsy will now sync and be fulfilled automatically.
But before we done there's one final step, we need to set up Payment details.
Set up payment details
You're nearly done!
When an order is placed on your Etsy store and it syncs across to us, we'll need to take payment from you for the base cost of the item so we can ship it right out to the customer.
To set this up:
- On your ShineOn Account, click Settings
- Click Account Settings and scroll down
-
Under Payment Settings, you can add either card details, or a PayPal account.
-
Choose your payment option, and fill out the details.
-
We recommend turning on Automatic Processing to ensure orders are paid for ASAP.
Once you have finished this, You are ready to create your first product using etsy integration.
Please check this guide to make sure you don't accidentally do anything which might cause problems with Etsy orders syncing.
